Many people don’t realize what they should do next after they discover that they’ve lost or accidentally deleted files that they still need.

The next step is not letting themselves despair. The next step should in fact be maintaining hope and giving a try to a file recovery application such as this one.

To my appreciation, R-Undelete is able to recover files from both FAT and NTFS formatted disks. Another part of this tool that I like is the fact that it can recover any kind of files, may they be images, documents, videos or unknown file types. Furthermore, video, audio and image files can be previewed before the actual recovery, letting you know if the files that this application found and could recover are the files that you truly wanted to recover in the first place.

I also consider that the wizard-like interface of this application is another big plus. It makes the data recovery process attainable by any kind of users, even by those without much PC operating knowledge.

On the other hand, the fact that it limits the size of the recoverable files to 64 kilobytes makes evaluating the trial version quite difficult. There are rarely any multimedia files or even documents of such small sizes that can be recovered, even for testing purposes. I would have appreciated if the trial edition came with other limitations that won’t hinder so much evaluating the final product of its main functionality: the recovered file. Anyway, drawing a conclusion is still possible: this tool looks good and comes with many handy functions, so I guess it’s worth a try, especially considering that the alternative could be, as stated in the introduction, acknowledging in despair that those important files are gone.
