R-Undelete is a powerful application that allows you to recover files from any local disk in a few simple steps. This program can be very useful to recover files lost or damaged due to virus attacks, deletion from the Recycle Bin, power failure, among others. Thanks to its IntelligentScan technology and its step-by-step wizard-like user interface, the whole recovery process is now faster and easier. It supports encrypted and compressed files, alternative data streams, and dynamic disks. However, it fails to recover files from damaged volumes or repartitioned hard-drives. This program comes in two versions: Undelete, which recovers lost files from FAT (FAT12, FAT16, FAT32), NTFS and NTFS5 disks; and Undelete FAT, which has been exclusively designed to recover FAT partitions only. The latter is considerably cheaper. Although this program is a demo, it is fully functional and only presents one limitation: it cannot recover files larger than 64KB. It supports Windows 9x, ME, NT, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista
Note that this version is no longer available for download, but here you can get the demo of the latest one which includes many improvements.
